Here’s a sure-fire way to get the most out of the CHEO BBQ. Have a gander at this list before heading to Shefford Park on Saturday!
Dress for the Weather! - Check the forecast and dress appropriately.
Sunscreen! - Don’t want to be caught ‘red-handed’, or ‘red-necked’ or ‘red-legged’ etc.

Shuttle & Save…on gas that is! We’ve got a shuttle departing from Entrance # 1 at Gloucester Centre, 1980 Ogilvie Road! Here are the details:
- Departure from Gloucester Centre: 06:45 – 10: 45 Every 30 minutes
- Departure from Shefford Park/Potvin: 07:00 – 10:30 Every 30 minutes
- Departure from Gloucester Centre: 14:45 – 17:45 Every 30 minutes
- Departure from Shefford Park/Potvin: 15:00 – 17:30 Every 30 minutes
- Departure from Gloucester Centre: 18:15 – 19:45 Every 30 minutes
- Departure from Shefford Park/Potvin: 18:30 – 20:00 Every 30 minutes

Tickets – Only $5 at the door. Registered sports participants’ admission is included with sports registration.
Front Gate – Opens at 08:30
Food & Drink – Barbecue Pit and Beer Garden open at 11:30. BBQ will be serving steak dinners starting at 16:00.
Music – Enjoy all day music courtesy of Quality Entertainment.

What you can do to help reduce waste and our carbon foot print
- Bring a drink container that can be used throughout the day for water. And reuse your plastic cup (or bring your own) in the beer tent.
- Help us recycle – There are plenty of recycle bins on site and make sure to sort your waste into the appropriate bins.
- Leave your car at home and take the shuttle
- Pledge online – Raise money for the kids at CHEO with our easy to use online pledging system
Together we can reach our collective goal of raising $55,000 for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.
There are three ways you can help us reach that goal:
1. Collecting pledges or donations:
Donate now! This year our goal is to raise $20 000 in pledges and donations. Did you know that if every one of you raised just $20 that we would surpass our pledging total of the last 4 years? It’s true! Every penny you raise goes directly to the donation total that helps the children of our community. Visit our pledging and donations section of our site for your pledge form and some helpful tips on pledging.
2. Mobile Giving:
Brand new this year is our Mobile Giving campaign. Simply text the word “BBQ” to 45678 to donate $10.00 to the CHEO Foundation. A one time donation of $10.00 will be added to your mobile phone bill or deducted from your pre-paid balance.
3. Silent Auction:
For the second year we will have an on site silent auction where you will find great items to bid on. For example, hotel stays and gift certificates to various restaurants, among many other items.
