CHEO BBQ Team

For those who have already picked up your team packages and completed all waivers, you may proceed directly to the grounds. Your start times will vary so please check when your first game starts. I suggest arriving 30 minutes in advance of your first game.

For all others please check in at the sports registration desk on arrival to pick up your team package. The registration desk opens at 8am. I suggest arriving earlier than 8:30am. There may be lineups so please show up early.

In the package you will find your meal tickets, water tickets and bracelets for each player.

All waivers must be signed to receive your team package.  If you or your team mates have not signed the waiver electronically, please download the Sporting Waiver, print it, fill it out and bring with you on the day of the tournament.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING AUCTION RULES CAREFULLY

BIDDING PROCEDURES

• All items in the silent auction have a bid sheet attached or affixed nearby. To place bid, write your name, daytime telephone number and the amount of your bid on the bid sheet. Each new bid must be written on the next line available on the bid sheet. Bid raises must be in whole dollar amounts in the increment identified on bid sheet. Each new bid must be written on the next blank line available on the bid sheet.
• Bids must be written in ink – no pencils.
• An authorized auction representative may disqualify your bid if you are blocking the bidding table 15 min prior to the closing of the table.
• The silent-auction tables will commence: 9:00am and will close at 4:00PM. No bids accepted after that time. Five minutes prior to the closing an announcement will be made to notify the bidders.
• An Authorized auction representative will circle or highlight the closing or winning bid.

CLAIMING SILENT-AUCTION ITEMS

• The purchaser, by participating in the silent auction, agrees to hold the CHEO BBQ free and clear of all liability for property-damage or physical injury or death that may arise from any item or service acquired at the silent auction.
• All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on auction items by the CHEO BBQ.
• Payment must be made in full on the day of the auction. Alternate arrangements can be made if agreed upon in advance of the end of the silent auction.
• Full payment for items should be made on the evening of the silent auction by cash, Mastercard or Visa only. GST will not be charged on purchases.
• Bidders will be called between 5 and 7 PM on June 13. If not available, arrangements will be made for later payment and pick up of item(s).

JOIN THE ACCESS TEAM!

CHEO BBQ is currently recruiting persons from the disability community to join the Access Team.  The Access Team will provide a guiding voice on disability issues concerning barriers, disability education and will assess the CHEO BBQ site on set up day (Friday June 11, 2010) to assist in the identification and removal of barriers.

The deadline to register your team is June 7^th, but don’t wait, as spots are filling up quickly! Space is limited and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worm, so register today to avoid disappointment and being waitlisted. Last year’s BBQ was a huge success, with over 100 teams competing in the tournament! This year’s tournament is close to being half sold out, so don’t miss your chance! Early bird registration will continue until May 15^th.
